Roots and Wings Preschool is a kindergarten-preparation program for mixed-age children.  We have up to 16 children in our preschool with two teachers, giving us ratios far lower than many preschools, which may have as many as 20 students per teacher.

We believe that early learning should be child-directed and exploratory in nature as much as possible and that children learn best when actively engaged in the learning process.  Because we have no staff turnover and very low student turnover, children remain with the same teachers and peer group throughout their preschool enrollment. We believe that this practice helps children feel more secure in their environment and develop more closely-bonded relationships; when children feel secure and loved, they are better able to learn and explore. We believe that parents are the most important teachers children will ever have, and we invite you to be active participants in your child's education in whatever ways you feel comfortable.

We are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
We request that children are present at least between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. to provide a consistent learning day.
